THE WORLD’S BEST SUPERSMOOTHIE

WHY IS THIS A SUPERSMOOTHIE?

This smoothie has got the great prefix of “super” – and we are not exaggerating! That is because the smoothie is full of different nutrients.

Banana is a real health fruit which, because of its energy content, fills the stomach well and makes an easy snack. Banana is rich in vitamins and potassium. Potassium is good for the heart, blood circulation and the nervous system.

Buckthorn and Biokia’s Organic Berry Powder Mix correspond to three decilitres of healthy, vitamin and fiber-rich berries. The oat brans bring extra fiber to the smoothie.

Protein makes the composition creamier and adds protein – and you won’t taste it in the smoothie. Avocado is full of healthy fatty acids.

WHY CHOOSE THE BERRY POWDER MIX?

Biokia’s Yellow Organic Berry Powder Mix is gently dried and made from whole berries. The mix consists of organic rose hip, organic sea buckthorn and organic cloudberry. It is rich in vitamin E and potassium. The berry powder mix has plenty of fibre: up to 45 grams in 100 grams.

You can enjoy the berry powder plain and mix it with smoothies, yogurt, porridge, pastries or desserts.

THE HEALTH EFFECTS OF SEA BUCKTHORN

Sea buckthorn is the most nutritious of the Finnish wild berries. It has a tremendous amount of vitamin C: more than the orange. Vitamin C strengthens your body’s natural defenses and prevents flu.
100 grams of sea buckthorn have 165 mg of vitamin C. The daily need for vitamin C is 75 mg. In addition to vitamin C, sea buckthorn contains vitamin E, fiber and good fatty acids. Wild sea buckthorn grows in the coastal regions of the Gulf of Bothnia and the Åland Islands.
