A QUICK AND DELICIOUS BREAKFAST

Overnight oats is one of the best breakfasts when you are busy. The overnight oats can be mixed the night before, and it becomes soft during the night. The overnight oats is more filling than plain smoothie and healthier than commercial protein bars.

The nourishing overnight oats is also a great snack: overnight oats made into a glass jar is easy to grab with and enjoy at work. Especially if you are heading to the gym straight from work, you need a proper snack.

Overnight oats can be flavored with berry powders and add delicious fruits and nuts. This overnight oats tastes just like bilberry pie thanks to bilberry and vanilla powder and cardamom. For weekend breakfast you can whisk a soft vanilla cream on the top of your oats.

Ingredients

OVERNIGHT OATS WITH BILBERRIES

  • 1 dl (1/2 cup) oat flakes
  • 1 tbsp oat bran
  • 2 tbsp Biokia’s bilberry powder
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla powder or 1 tsp vanilla
  • extract powder or vanilla sugar
  • 1 dl (1/2 cup) oat milk
  • 1 dl (1/2 cup) vanilla yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp honey

VANILLA CREAM

  • 1 dl (1/2 cup) Kaslink’s oat for whipping or whipping cream
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla powder or 1 tsp vanilla
  • extract powder or vanilla sugar
  • a touch of salt
  • 1 tsp maple syrup

Guide

OVERNIGHT OATS WITH BILBERRIES AND VANILLA CREAM

  1. The night before or at least two hours before: Mix the ingredients in a deep bowl. Cover with plastic or aluminum foil and refrigerate.
  2. In the morning: Whip the oat into foam. Add spices and mix.
  3. Spoon the vanilla cream on top of the oatmeal. Garnish your overnight oats with Biokia’s dried berries or fresh berries and seeds.
