Wild berries growing in the northern latitudes are especially rich in health-beneficial ingredients. The clean forests of northern Finland are ideal for berries: clean and bright, untouched and free of pesticides or fertilizers. Instead, they enjoy the midnight sun.
Nordic berries are an authentic superfood rich in nutrients and flavor. Berries are an easy and delicious way to eat healthy and boost your wellbeing, because all vitamins, flavonoids, trace elements and dietary fiber are in natural form.
Pure raw material and high quality production
Did you know that all the berries picked from the forest are not organic? Organic berries are picked from carefully controlled areas, and Biokia’s organic berries are acquired mostly from the organic certified areas of Northern and Eastern Finland. Organic certification shows the purity and authenticity of the raw material. The entire production chain, from the collection area to the raw material processor, is subject to organic control.
The high-quality organic berries are handled in carefully supervised process. We continuously develop our processing methods and strive to make full use of the valuable side streams of raw materials. Our production is guided by meticulous quality control and the certified food safety management system BRC. No additives or artificial sweeteners or preservatives are added to the berries. Our production line is also Kosher and Halal certified for everybody to enjoy Biokia’s organic products with a good conscience.

Responsible and sustainable
Biokia’s organic berries are handpicked to ensure highest quality and sustainability of forests. In addition to local berry pickers hundreds of foreign berry pickers come and pick berries during the season every year. We comply with national legislation related to wild berry picking and continuously develop our operating methods. We are committed to open and transparent practices concerning foreign berry pickers. Our berry procurement activities are audited annually by client companies and other external parties.
High quality production
Biokia’s organic products are processed at low temperatures ensuring that all valuable vitamins, natural flavonoids and minerals as well as their great taste and color are preserved. Biokia’s organic powders are ground as whole dried berries and they are 100 % berry without anything added to them. The entire production chain of berries, starting from the forest, is controlled and certified organic, which guarantees the purity of the berries. Quality is our number one priority!
